Admissions Criteria, Pre-requisites & study Support-

Enrollment in the School Counseling program is open to any qualified individual who meets the admissions standards. All candidates must be registered applicant and meet either/or of following criteria:

Admissions Criteria

• Some previous experience of working with children- -NOT MANDATORY
• Self-awareness and emotional robustness
• Capacity to empathise
• Developed interpersonal skills
• High level of emotional warmth

1. In-service graduate/postgraduate teachers with B.Ed./B..Ed. degree/OR , working in primary, secondary or senior secondary schools/colleges/equivalent academic positions in DIETs, SCERTs, or similar educational institutions.

2. Headmasters/Principals and educational administrators/functionaries with B.Ed./M..Ed. degree.

3. Non-working graduates/postgraduates or those now engaged in teaching profession and those with B.Ed./M..Ed. degree or equivalent degrees recognized by an Indian or a foreign university.

4. Two References form reputed educators, professionals, and or head of Social services organizations and, or appropriate government officials.(OPTIONAL)-

5. VETRANS & SERVICES FAMILY MEMBERS,NGOs volunteers & staff IN GP, due RPQ & FURTHER REDUCED FEE CONSIDERATION CASE TO CASE BASIS.

All our courses are ODL study Modes and specifically designed to be managed alongside current occupations. Our dedicated Course Development Team have worked tirelessly to cleverly design your course resources. They are entirely self-contained so you can progress seamlessly through the courses.

Mode of study:

Textbook based guided study with tutorial notes and texts. Written assignments based on textbooks and self-reflection. Assignment questions are issued by email and students return their written work by email/ by post. Grades and feedback are issued by email. Students normally buy books from on-line bookstores.

• Each module of study may take up to an estimated 150 hours of study
• In the case of the Masters and PG Diploma in School Counselors’ program and on other subjects of studies, it carries a Higher Education Credits, estimated that each module will involve 45-76 Credits of study.
• Although the shorter modules are designed to be completed within 15 months, this is not compulsory, as it is appreciated that participants on distance learning mode courses frequently combine their learning with other duties and responsibilities.
